Ashley Madison - Read the Fine Print

Review:
It's difficult to get a grip on Ashley Madison because they have a huge publicity machine that saturates the internet review site with guys claiming to have met women there. Yet I have met many guys in real life who have tried Ashley Madison. Not one has ever obtained a face-to-face contact, much less had an affair. They exchange emails (which the men pay for) and chat online (which the men pay for), but invariably the women break off contact without ever meeting.

Why is this? Be sure to read their Legal Notices and Disclaimers:
"From time to time this service may include, offer, or initiate winks, collect messages or instant chat from Market Researchers (Online Hosts) simulating attached or single men or women. These efforts are conducted for market research and/or customer experience . . . Market Researchers (Online Hosts) will NOT be conspicuously identified."

And that pretty much explains it all.

Pros:
None.

Cons:
You have a better chance walking by the seaside with a net, waiting for a mermaid to jump in.

Review:
When you go to Ashley Madison just be careful. You have to buy credits in large somewhat expensive "lumps". These credits are used when contacting other members. They also have a "wink" you can send for free, the idea being if the person you winked at is interested in you they will send an email (which you pay for). In 3 cases, when I sent a wink an email came back asking if I was online. Being new I didn't know how to respond and because I thought the response showed interest, I sent each a legitimate email (10 credits each) which they never bothered to respond to. So there ARE people on there who sole purpose is to dwindle your credits. If you get an email asking if you "are online" do not respond and you should be fine.

Pros:
Can't think of many.

Cons:
A LOT of "members" haven't been there for over 3 months and are not contactable.
