I would not normally write a review online like this, but I have just read two terrible reviews that do would not describe my experience at Japancupid at all. I am a male Gold Member from the US and I have had a very positive experience on Japancupid. I know nothing about responding to "Someone is interested in you" to find that their profiles are shut off. I have found Japancupid to be very transparent and it has, and still does, provide the service that I expected when I opened my account.

There are many different kinds of people that are there for different purposes. There are people who simply want to, date and "Have Fun". There are people who are looking for a serious relationships and do not what to meet as many people as possible and date as a lifestyle. If you are looking for a serious relationship, you can definitely find it (I did). If you are looking to "Have Fun," I would think that is definitely reasonable also. I would say, there are also some disrespectful people on the cite just as I would expect in any social grouping of human beings, and they need to be handled the same way you would in any other social setting.

As far as a "Scam"..... That seems a bit biased and it does not reflect my experience at all.

Japancupid provides me the exact services I expected and I would recommend it to interested parties.

Although I paid for a membership my profile has been cut off. The really quite stiupid team@japancupid has confused my membership with another person soliciting for a different website. I know nothing about this.I have called JapanCupid, (voice saying to call back), and written to their ridiculous team@japancupid, I remain unable to log on. I am unable to locate their corporate profile online. I am unable to locate the names of their corporate officers online. I am unable to locate their annual report on line.

As a member of sugardaddie.com for the last several months, I can say that I have met very nice women from the site, and a couple of terrible scammers.

If you're a guy and see profiles of women in Las Vegas who "go everywhere with my girlfriend" or "work in vegas as an entertainer" please BEWARE. There are several women on the site who are strippers at a well known club, who make money on the side by ripping off dates. If you reimburse them for a missed nights work at the club, they will do a disappearing act on you before the party really begins.

Pros:
The Keep It SImple philosophy prevails on this site, and it is easy to navigate. Profiles are easy to read, and I appreciate a format that isn't busy looking.

Cons:
Even in the advanced search you cannot search within miles of a zip code, or, by city. The narrowest search is by State.
